Surat Thani Fossil Museum Unveils New “Prehistoric Marine Life” Exhibition

Surat Thani, Thailand – The Fossil, Geology, and Natural History Museum in Surat Thani has launched a new exhibition, “Prehistoric Marine Life,” featuring fossilized remains of ancient sea creatures that once thrived in southern Thailand millions of years ago.

The exhibition showcases rare fossils, including:
🔹 Trilobites – Early arthropods that lived in ancient oceans.
🔹 Ammonites – Extinct marine mollusks related to modern squids and octopuses.
🔹 Fossilized Coral Reefs – Evidence of past marine ecosystems and environmental changes.
🔹 Dinosaur Footprints Along the Coastline – Clues that some dinosaurs inhabited the area.

In addition to the exhibition, the museum offers interactive activities, such as:

• Fossil Digging Activity – Hands-on experience for kids and students to excavate simulated fossils.
